$200M Contract Brings Microsoft to DOE for Five Years

WASHINGTON, DC – Alvarez & Associates, in partnership with Insight Enterprises, Inc., announced that it was selected for an award of $200 million over five years for the delivery of MicrosoftTM products and services to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Through DOE’s Office of the Chief Information Officer’s (OCIO) Enterprise Wide Agreement (EWA) Program, the contract consolidates common-use software and related services used in IT organizations across the DOE.

Alvarez & Associates delivered the contract through its Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP) contract, a multi-award Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) vehicle focused on IT products and product -based services. One of 38 pre-competed Contract Holders, Alvarez and Associates, through its partners, offers a wide range of advanced technology including tablets, desktops and servers; IT peripherals; network equipment; storage systems; security tools; software products; cloud based services; video conferencing systems and other IT and Audio-Visual products.
