Alvarez & Associates Awarded CIO-CS GWAC
Thursday April 9, 2015
Tysons Corner, VA – April 8, 2015 - Alvarez & Associates was awarded the Chief Information Officer – Commodities and Solutions (CIO-CS) contract by the National Institutes of Health Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC) on April 8, 2015.
“We are grateful to be selected as a small business contractor for CIO-CS and look forward to continuing to serve our clients with exceptional customer service and integrity as we have for the past 10 years.” said Everett Alvarez, Jr., Founder and CEO of Alvarez & Associates.
The Small Business CIO-CS contract provides government agencies with a way to quickly order IT solutions and services at an equitable price. Under the contract, the small businesses compete in a fair way with large businesses allowing government agencies to meet their socio-economic contracting goals.
“The CIO-CS contract offers more procurement choices for our clients as we provide the best of our Partners’ solutions,” adds Jon Wright, Vice President Business Development for Alvarez & Associates.
In addition to general IT solutions, the contract provides IT health and biomedical-related IT commodities to meet scientific, health, administrative, operational, managerial and information management requirements. The award also contains general IT commodities partly because medical systems are increasingly integrated within a broader IT architecture, requiring a systems approach to their implementation.
The Chief Information Officer – Commodities and Solutions Government-Wide
Acquisition Contract (GWAC) is a five (5) year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a five (5) year optional period.
